The second TVersity 1.0 Release Candidate is here
We have been hard at work fixing some issues with RC1 and adding album art support and today we bring you TVersity 1.0 RC2.
Album art support is the main new feature of this release, it is compatible with the Sony PS3 as well as with the HTML interface (PSP, iPhone, Blackberry, etc.) and flash interface (Wii). Album art support relies on JPEG files conforming to certain naming conventions that are present in the same folder as music tracks. These files can be created by either Windows Media Player or WinAmp and TVersity will pick them up, or users can add them manually.
To give you full control over the album art image, TVersity allows you to override the art assigned to a certain album by adding to the folder that contains track belonging to the album an image file named:
albumart.<album name>.jpg
If such file does not exist, TVersity looks for files added automatically by Windows Media Player or by WinAmp. We do not currently take album art files created by iTunes.
In addition to music album art, this release also display art icons on the Sony PS3 next to RSS feed items that have such icons in the RSS (e.g. YouTube feeds).

Great release once again. Any thoughts on looking into the pausing issue when streaming to PS3? Pause for longer than 30 sec -> hit Play -> auto pause. Very annoying but otherwise no complaints :)
The "Artists" button doesn't work on the XBox 360. This used to work in the beta versions. I suggest fixing this in the next RC.

Thanks for the updated RC - as a PS3 user - this has been a great alternative to Windows Media Connect ...the album art is a nice touch. Thanks for putting so much effort into this!
i have been using tversity for well over a year now - an update of this magnitude was NOT what i was expecting! the new interface is beautiful - to say the least - and once again there are features added and perfected when i was under the impression everything was already 100%
tversity is life.
Out of curiosity, why not support album art by first simply pulling the jpg embedded in the audio file, if it exists? And if it doesn't exist, then maybe look for a file in the folder?
Just wondering. Its a pain to have to go through 500 folders and rename a file solely for one application, especially when all information is already embedded in the file. Not trying to be a complainer, overall I love TVersity.
